This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
Responsibilities
1. Provide specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
2. Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
3. Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
4. Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
5. Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit.
Required Qualifications
• Current RN license
• BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
• Two years of recent Step Down experience
• Strong communication and adaptability skills.
