Position: Patent Scientist

Role Overview:

The Patent Scientist at Kiel Laboratories is essential in evaluating patent documentation, crafting high-caliber patent submissions, and addressing office inquiries. We are looking for an individual with a robust foundation in organic chemistry, along with experience in pharmaceuticals, synthetic techniques, molecular biology, and drug development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with inventors to gather insights on new patent concepts
• Draft patent applications and develop technical narratives
• Assess spectral data for precision
• Investigate potential patentability and operational freedom for new innovations
• Analyze competitors' patent filings

Qualifications & Experience:

• PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry
• 2-5 years of experience within the biotechnology sector
• Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is advantageous
• Exceptional writing skills and ability to learn swiftly

Work Environment:

This position is based in a professional office environment and necessitates the use of standard office tools and technology. Occasional travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:

The individual must possess effective communication skills, be able to stand, walk, and occasionally lift office materials.

Work Schedule:
