Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team in maintaining the C-26 Metroliner aircraft. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing organizational and intermediate level maintenance on the C-26 aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
  • Work on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls, and airframe components using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
  • Repair and replace malfunctioning or damaged components, following approved maintenance procedures and contract terms.
  • Ensure accurate recording of aircraft discrepancies and maintenance activities in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve maintenance goals and deadlines.
  • Perform engine run or taxi operations, and participate in aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
  • Meet certification requirements within 12 months of employment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid FAA A&P Certificate required.
  • Minimum 2 years of A&P experience, with 2 or more years of specific C-26 experience preferred.
  • Must possess knowledge and experience with US Army forms and records, and be comfortable using computer or tablet.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Tools are required; mechanics must provide their own tools and toolbox, with tools to be shadowed and etched with PID.
Security Clearance Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance and facility credentials and authorization.
Additional and Physical Qualifications
  • Comply with FAA regulations as applicable.
  • Possess a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and show compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
  • Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
  • Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
  • Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
