Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing field and laboratory tests relating to hot mix asphalt, aggregate materials, and concrete. This will involve using lab instruments to determine pavement compositions, performing material sampling of asphalt hot mix, aggregates and concrete, and conducting material testing using quality control guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field and laboratory tests to determine the properties of construction materials
  • Use lab instruments to determine pavement compositions and material properties
  • Perform material sampling and testing to ensure compliance with quality control guidelines
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with testing requirements
  • Work in a field laboratory setting, with occasional travel to construction sites

Requirements

  • 1 year minimum experience in construction materials testing
  • Current Level 1A AGG101 Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Motivated and self-directed individual with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read plans and specifications
  • Precision in work and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
