As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to patients within the Medical/Surgical Unit, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for optimal healing and recovery.
- Coordinate care planning with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Assess patient needs, identify potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the highest level of patient safety.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care, promoting a culture of teamwork and respect.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in nursing and healthcare.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
- Current RN licensure in the state of West Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment
- Telemetry certification within one year of employment
- Minimum one year of previous clinical experience in a medical/surgical setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical setting
- Telemetry certification
- PALS certification
Working Conditions:
- Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne diseases
- Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
- Exposed to unpleasant elements, including accidents, injuries, and illness
- May perform emergency care
- Subjected to irregular hours and pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries
