Operations Leadership Program Overview

The Operations Leadership Program (OLP) is a 12-month program designed for recent graduates in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. The program combines structured learning and development with on-the-job training and project management opportunities.

Program Components
  • Operations Rotations: OLP Associates will be assigned multiple rotations to provide them with a strong understanding of all areas critical to the Operations function. Rotational opportunities may include:
    • Production
    • Quality Control
    • Warehouse/Distribution
    • Production Planning & Scheduling
    • Plant Maintenance
    • Regional Engineering
    • Quality/Industrialization
  • Cross Functional Opportunities: This component focuses on developing basic cross-functional exposure to other key areas within the business, outside of the manufacturing/production area. Cross-functional opportunities may include:
    • Safety
    • Operational Accounting
    • HR
    • Flavor Creation
    • Science & Technology
    • Sales
    • Customer Care
    • Regulatory
    • Regional Supply Chain
    • Samples
  • Project Management: Associates will be given projects to either manage or participate in throughout the program.
  • Leadership Development: Involves the transition of the associate into a leadership role within Givaudan. Associates will begin developing advanced people leadership skills and will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all efforts related to the tactical day-to-day operation of the department.
  • International Rotation: A wonderful opportunity to immerse oneself in the global community that is Givaudan.
Requirements

To be eligible for the Operations Leadership Program, candidates must:

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Have relevant internship or co-op experience (highly preferred)
  • Have experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting (preferred)
  • Be willing to relocate for assignments located at other Givaudan sites
  • Be willing to complete an international rotational assignment
  • Demonstrate supervisory and/or leadership experience
