Position Summary

The Electronics Production Specialist serves as a vital link for Engineering teams to construct, troubleshoot, test, and repair prototype circuit boards. The individual will work independently and collaboratively to fulfill tasks assigned by the Electronics Lab Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental electronic circuit boards using principles of electronics, electrical circuitry, mathematics, and physics.
  • Diagnose and repair issues at the component level on electronic circuit board assemblies.
  • Assemble experimental circuitry or complete prototype models according to engineering specifications and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing electronic testing and measurement instruments.
  • Understand and apply assembly documentation, including Schematics, BOMs, and Testing tools.
  • Support Engineering and Customer Service teams in ongoing data evaluation for circuit design improvements and warranty claims.
  • Collaborate as a team member to meet Engineering department's process yield objectives.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and health protocols as directed by the supervisor.
  • Follow all procedures in accordance with the company security policy.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2-5 years of experience in component-level troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in various measurement devices and testing equipment, including Multi Meters and Oscilloscopes.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental electronic concepts.
  • Familiarity with mechanical hand tools and soldering equipment.
  • Competent in basic computer applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The work environment is typical of an electronics lab, with potential exposure to moderate to loud noise levels. Personal protective equipment may be required in certain situations.
