Position Overview

The CT Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in the Radiology department, executing computerized tomography procedures under the supervision of the Radiology Manager and Radiologists. This position involves operating a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner to conduct both routine and complex imaging tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Interaction: Effectively position and instruct patients to ensure optimal imaging results.
  • Equipment Operation: Skillfully operate specialized imaging equipment while determining appropriate technical factors for exposure.
  • Film Management: Ensure accurate marking and labeling of all imaging films.
  • Patient Care: Consistently deliver safe and high-quality patient care throughout the imaging process.
  • On-Call Duties: Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited AMA Radiology program and current ARRT registration.
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Two years of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical tasks, including lifting and transporting patients and equipment.
  • Strong manual dexterity and motor skills necessary for operating delicate imaging equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills for managing imaging data.
  • Demonstrated ability to make accurate judgments and decisions in line with radiology standards.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient care in accordance with established protocols.
Work Schedule

This position requires participation in on-call duties to ensure continuous patient care.
