About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water/Wastewater Utility Engineer to join our team at Ayres Associates. As a key member of our Southeast division, you will be responsible for managing and executing water/wastewater utility projects for city/county/local governments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead in identifying marketing opportunities and collaborating to win projects from city, county, and municipal governments.
  • Manage projects, oversee design and production of plans and specifications, and ensure timely, profitable, and high-quality delivery.
  • Build and maintain respectful working relationships with PMs and other leaders within the company.
  • Support and participate in the development and mentorship of staff.
  • Actively engage in professional organizations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
  • Registered professional engineer (PE) in Florida.
  • 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater utility design and construction.
  • Ability to independently manage small to medium size projects.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D. MicroStation experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proven business development expertise focused on identifying, pursuing, and winning projects.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
