Responsibilities:
- Professional Practice:
- Apply advanced nursing knowledge and skills within the framework of Relationship Based Care to meet the clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in documentation, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Demonstrate critical thinking in identifying clinical, social, safety, and spiritual issues within the episode of care.
- Formulate a plan of care and daily goals that consider individual patient needs.
- Seek guidance and ask questions to continuously improve nursing practice.
- Structural Empowerment:
- Actively engage in clinical development and/or RN residency program for new hires.
- Request opportunities to learn safe, accountable, and autonomous practice from more experienced nurses.
- Seek, accept, and utilize performance feedback from peers, preceptors, and unit/department leaders as a learning opportunity and to improve practice.
- Education and Qualifications:
- Operating room experience is preferred but not required.
- CVOR experience is highly preferred.
- Basic Life Support or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certification.
- Registered Nurse or Temporary Practice Permit.
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
