Job Title: Assistant Fitness Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Fitness Manager to join our team at YouFit Gyms. As a key member of our fitness team, you will work closely with the General Manager and Fitness Manager to drive our fitness programs, manage personal trainers, and enhance member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train clients for up to 20 hours per week, providing personalized fitness programs and guidance.
  • Assess and evaluate sessions and small group training, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Develop and manage action plans to achieve goals, ensuring consistent progress and results.
  • Meet monthly personal training revenue and sales targets, driving revenue growth and increasing member engagement.
  • Conduct fitness assessments and introductory programs for members, providing a comprehensive understanding of their fitness needs.
  • Maintain sales percentages and key performance indicators, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to maintain member relationships and cultivate referrals, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Create additional traffic and generate sales, leveraging your expertise and knowledge of the fitness industry.
  • Foster an enjoyable environment for employees, members, and guests, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Contact new members to welcome them and schedule fitness assessments, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Resolve customer service issues to ensure a positive member experience, addressing concerns and providing solutions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct exit interviews with canceling clients, gathering feedback and insights to improve our services and programs.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive fitness programs based on clients' goals, inspiring them to achieve results through goal setting, follow-ups, and reassessments.
  • Maintain the personal trainer and HIIT+/SGT schedule according to gym standards, ensuring optimal staffing levels and efficient operations.
  • Participate in management meetings, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Recruit personal trainers to ensure optimal staffing levels, leveraging your network and expertise to attract top talent.
  • Supervise, guide, and develop personal training staff, providing training and support to ensure their success and growth.
  • Demonstrate Intermediate computer literacy skills for the use of job-related software and technology, staying up-to-date with the latest tools and platforms.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • NCAA Personal Trainer Certification or Exercise-science-related degree.
  • Maintain a CPR / AED certification.
  • Personal training and personal training sales experience.
  • Superior communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Effective English communication skills. Fluency in multiple languages is favored.
  • Passionate about fitness and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient in multitasking, driven by self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
  • Committed to continuous personal development.
Physical Demands:
  • The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by a team member to perform the essential functions of this role successfully. While performing the duties of this role, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely an active role with some bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and stooping required.
