Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Optum. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our patients and providing a positive, supportive environment while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete provider orders per state and provider regulations
  • Assist the provider with examinations, procedures, and other duties
  • Screen and accurately document patient information and update medical records
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications, including IV medications and fluid administration, at the direction of the medical provider
  • Oversee and coordinate daily patient care flow
  • Assist patients with walking, transfer, specimen collection, and exam preparation
  • Complete occupational health testing, including urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, and physicals
  • Complete patient referrals and callbacks daily
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school for Licensed Practical or Vocational Nursing
  • Current state LPN licensure and BLS/CPR certification
  • Maintain CEU/CMEs as applicable for licensure
  • 1+ years of direct patient care experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current IV certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days if required by state
  • Experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Room, or Critical Care setting
  • Experience with venipuncture and lab specimen collections
