As a Radiologic Technologist with Northeast Georgia Health System, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Under the direction of a Radiologist and Supervisor, you will perform radiographic procedures with independence and ingenuity, applying ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Your responsibilities will include assuming responsibility for designated areas of procedures, working with patients of all ages, and maintaining a high level of productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Operate radiographic equipment according to specifications and produce quality radiographs, adhering to infection control and safety practices.
- Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion, troubleshoot processing problems, and take appropriate action.
- Follow good radiation safety practices, including coning, shielding, and film badge monitoring, according to state and federal guidelines.
- Produce quality images consistently within established protocols, maintain patient records, and document patient education.
- Comply with RIS standards, accurately and completely utilizing the system for ordering, starting, completing, canceling, and recording complications.
- ARRT Registry or Registry eligible with 1 year to provide proof of registered status.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduate or graduation eligible of accredited ARRT Program.
- One (1) year of experience.
