Job Summary
As a Production Supervisor at JBS USA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our production facilities. This position requires a strong leader who can motivate and direct a team of production employees to meet and exceed production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed production goals set by plant management
- Supervise and direct production employees to ensure proper procedures, safety, and cleanliness
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all production employees with company policies and procedures
- Perform various duties as assigned by plant management
- Ensure compliance with food safety and human resources policies
- Complete all necessary audits, inventory, daily production, downtime, and safety reports
- Manage a working maintenance/project list in conjunction with the rendering/hides/wastewater production and maintenance teams
Working Conditions
This position requires working in a production and maintenance setting, which may involve exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives. You may also be required to work in hot temperatures and loud ambient noise. Heavy lifting may be required at times.
Requirements
We are seeking a candidate with a high school degree or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor's degree in an applicable field is preferred. Additionally, we require 1-2 years of proven supervisory experience in the beef industry. You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Bilingual skills are helpful. You should also have excellent conflict resolution skills and be able to work 50+ hours. Good attendance and safety records are a must.
Relationships
This position requires working with employees on the production line and plant management. You will also be working with external partners, including the USDA and Union. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
