Position Overview

The Senior Diagnostic Medical Sonographer plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by providing high-quality ultrasound services. This position is responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient safety, and delivering exceptional care to all patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound procedures independently, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff and students, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
  • Manage inventory and ensure that supplies are adequately stocked in the imaging area.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education to stay updated on best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Formal education equivalent to an Associate's degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in diagnostic medical sonography.
  • Current certifications in CPR, ARDMS, and RVT.
