OVERVIEW

The Recreation Coordinator plays a vital role in organizing and executing a variety of events for our guests at Sun Communities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the planning, organization, and oversight of events such as picnics, sports competitions, dances, and communal dinners.
  • Manage the setup and breakdown of events.
  • Maintain attendance records for each activity.
  • Support the training of team members and volunteers within the Recreation department.
  • Distribute the weekly newsletter to residents and guests.
  • Ensure all recreational equipment and supplies are well-maintained.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent (some high school education required).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Friendly and outgoing demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others, both internally and externally.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet navigation.
