Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Social Services Coordinator and Office Assistant to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the social service program, including the food pantry, hygiene closet, and referral services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend to calls regarding social services and respond to correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Intake of applications on new clients and update applications on clients monthly.
  • Enter client information into the social work portal and update client files as necessary.
  • Prepare monthly statistics for food pantry, hygiene closet, and all other social service activities.
  • Oversee the food pantry, including inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate and support food drives and other community outreach initiatives.
  • Act as volunteer coordinator, recruiting, processing paperwork, and monitoring volunteer hours.
  • Assist with public relations events and campaigns as assigned by the Corps Officer.
  • Oversee all aspects of social service ministries, including soup kitchen, food pantry, hygiene closet, and referral services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience in social services and office administration.
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and others as required.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is highly recommended and preferred.
Working Conditions

This is a regular full-time position with a competitive salary range of $17.50-$20.00 per hour.
