Job Overview

The Automotive Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle components with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough automotive troubleshooting and testing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ensure customer vehicles are repaired accurately and kept clean
  • Road test vehicles to ensure quality repairs
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs
  • Communicate with Service Advisor and/or Dispatcher as needed
  • Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations
  • Follow attendance and punctuality standards
  • Attend pertinent training sessions
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training
  • Valid Driver's License
Work Environment

This position will primarily work in an automotive shop environment, with occasional exposure to various weather conditions and safety hazards. The employee will be required to stand for prolonged periods, lift over 50 pounds with assistance, and perform repetitive motions.
