The Mechanical Field Engineer plays a crucial role in the evaluation and specification of mechanical systems, including equipment, piping, ductwork, and HVAC solutions tailored for the Energy Sector.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed calculations for the sizing and specification of mechanical systems, including piping, ductwork, and HVAC installations.
  • Perform field assessments to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Develop contract drawings and technical specifications.
  • Review equipment submissions and address contractor inquiries.
  • Execute hydronic system pressure drop calculations and select appropriate pumps.
  • Carry out heat and mass balance assessments.
  • Modify piping, valve, and insulation specifications to meet project requirements.
  • Perform calculations for duct static pressure drops, fan sizing, and duct dimensions.
  • Conduct heating and cooling load assessments.
  • Prepare specifications and technical documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support design teams and assist in subcontractor management.
  • Engage with clients to communicate project requirements and participate in project meetings.
  • Compile weekly and monthly project updates.
  • Manage requests for information (RFIs) and coordinate responses with engineering teams.
  • Monitor project progress with bi-weekly schedule reviews.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer within Industrial or Energy sectors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and readiness to travel to client sites regularly.
  • E.I.T. Certification is preferred.
