About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for investigating events, preparing and presenting results, and executing subsystem-related procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and log system conditions to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain working relationships with customers, peers, and associate contractors through direct interaction and collaboration
  • Execute subsystem-related processes and maintain awareness of operation status of subsystem hardware and supporting monitoring scripts
Requirements
  • Active U.S. TS/SCI with CI poly security clearance
  • Experience with scripting languages, particularly SQL, TCL/TK, and/or PERL
  • Firm understanding of electronic systems, electro-mechanical systems, RF, and digital communications
  • Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral settings on technical topics
  • Understanding of engineering tradeoffs and capability to utilize analysis methods and tools to troubleshoot various events
  • Familiarity with Linux and MS Office
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

  • Ability to analyze control loops
  • Aptitude to learn quickly and multitask in a complex work environment
  • Ability to learn in a self-directed setting while also optimizing chances to gain knowledge as they come
  • Ability to work in a multitasking dynamic environment under general direction
  • Advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
