Nurse in a PCU Setting

Ascension Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a PCU or Step Down Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in an acute care setting and be licensed to practice in the compact RN license or state RN license relevant to the travel assignment location.
About the Position
This is a permanent, full-time job made up of 8-13 week travel assignments. The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. The job requires implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate, serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, and noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. The job also requires providing direct nursing care to patients in a PCU or Step Down Unit.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and a Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. The candidate must have One year of RN experience in an acute care setting required and One year of recent experience in PCU or Step Down strongly preferred. The candidate must also have a Compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment and ACLS required.
