About the Role

Mercy Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a key member of the perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and organize operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies for various surgical procedures
  • Assist in maintaining a sterile field by applying principles of aseptic techniques and informing the surgical team of infractions
  • Provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures
  • Clean, wrap, and prepare instruments for sterilization
  • Take care of specimens, prepare, check, and monitor medications, and assist with dressings
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or Vocational Certification in Surgical Technology
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
  • Minimum of one year perioperative experience (preferred)
