Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiology

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiology team in Germantown, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Cardiology department. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Assess educational needs and provide teaching and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Integrate health promotion and preventive aspects of care.
  • Anticipate and recognize changes in a patient's status and need for care.
  • Communicate with physicians to confirm, correlate, and update patient's plan of care.
  • Maintain and update accurate clinical and patient records according to agency, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Provide telephone consultation/triage to patients, families, and/or significant others according to protocol and established guidelines.
  • Participate in community education programs and continuous quality improvement activities.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in acute care nursing that includes experiences in an applicable clinical specialty (such as: cardiology, urology or orthopedics).
Working Conditions:

The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks is essential. The Registered Nurse must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs over the head, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, push/pull with 30 lbs of force, and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
