Job Type:

Position Overview:
SPEECHCOM, INC is in search of part-time, California-Licensed Speech-Language Pathologists or clinical fellows to support a non-public educational institution.

Compensation:
$60-$75 per hour W2 (based on experience)

Work Schedule:
7-hour days, totaling 21 hours per week.

Clientele:

  • High school to transition-age students
  • Individuals with Autism
  • Moderate to Severe communication challenges
  • AAC users
  • Assistive Technology users
Qualifications Required:
  • Master's degree in speech pathology is mandatory.
  • CA state-issued license as a speech pathologist is essential.
  • Clinical fellows are encouraged to apply.
  • Successful completion of Livescan fingerprinting is required.
The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with communication disorders, developing tailored treatment plans, maintaining accurate records, and updating faculty and parents on student progress.

Supervisory Duties:
  • Potential to oversee SLPAs or mentor clinical fellows.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the needs of students with speech or language disorders and align those needs with available educational programs. Conduct regular meetings with students according to the treatment schedule, assess, and document student progress.
  • Communicate progress to faculty and engage in regular discussions regarding student performance and social interactions.
  • Conduct triennial re-evaluations to assess progress in accordance with professional standards.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with students to foster success in speech and language interventions.
  • Stay informed about advancements in the field and participate in professional development activities to maintain licensure requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, faculty, and parents, ensuring clarity regarding the program and student progress.

Educational Background:
Master's degree in speech pathology is required.

CA state-issued license as a speech pathologist is required.

Clinical fellows are welcome to apply (mentorship opportunities available).

Compensation Overview:
$60-$75/hour
