Shift Details:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and die carts efficiently.
  • Conduct minor fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on presses and welding equipment.
  • Assist in changing tips and C-frame setups.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of equipment, including nut feeders.
  • Learn and utilize the Maximo system for data entry and tracking of preventive maintenance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and monitor the tool room for any safety issues.
  • Treat all team members with respect and professionalism.
  • Complete other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills.
  • Previous experience in operating forklifts, presses, and related machinery.

Special Skills:
  • Mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts, aerial lifts, and die carts.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic safety practices.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to stand on a concrete surface for the duration of the shift.
  • Capable of walking, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, bending, and using hands and arms.
  • Visual acuity required for computer tasks and inspections.
  • May be required to fill in for various positions within the plant.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and repetitively lift up to 40 pounds.

Working Environment:
  • Work is conducted in a stamping and assembly factory with elevated noise levels.
  • Exposure to physical hazards from moving machinery and equipment.
  • Compliance with safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), quality, and environmental standards is mandatory.
  • Occasional tasks may involve dirty, wet, noisy, or confined spaces.

This position is ideal for candidates with a diverse skill set in machinery operation, technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards in the workplace.
