Position Overview: The Youth Sports Specialist is responsible for guiding, developing, and executing various sports initiatives for YWCA Soccer Programs and Girls Inc at YWCA throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver sports programming for YWCA Soccer and Girls Inc at YWCA as designated.
  • Lead coaching efforts for assigned teams, collaborate on unique projects, and assist with community outreach.
  • Address administrative tasks: manage attendance records, create registration documents and promotional materials, and evaluate program data.
  • Plan and execute the development of Girls Inc. and associated programs, working directly with staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate records of participation, individual initiatives, and program outcomes for reporting and grant purposes, including attendance, demographics, and incident reports.
  • Oversee the procurement and management of program supplies and resources.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for designated groups in the event of absences.
  • Perform light custodial tasks as necessary.
  • Engage in and contribute to training sessions at the agency, regional, and national levels.
  • Foster relationships with parents, keeping them updated on program activities, excursions, and events.
  • Act in alignment with the mission, policies, and objectives of YWCA.
  • Represent the organization in community events, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as requested and agreed upon.
Supervisory Duties:
  • Limited supervisory responsibilities – may oversee interns and youth employees from CNYWorks assigned to specific groups.
