Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Altru Health. As a key member of our therapy department, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients to help them achieve their maximum potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans to improve functional abilities.
  • Collaboration with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, assistive devices, and home programs to promote independence and well-being.
  • Treatment Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement treatment plans, coordinate schedules with other disciplines, and monitor program effectiveness.
  • Patient Safety and Quality: Ensure patient safety and quality care by identifying and addressing potential risks and barriers to discharge.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Certifications: Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) certification from the North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapy or Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.
  • Driving Requirements: Frequent driver with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and stooping/bending. The ability to lift up to medium pounds is also required.
