Job Description: Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Transporting furniture, artwork, and other valuable items to various locations, including residences, commercial spaces, airports, seaports, and rail ports.
  • Maintaining clear communication with base supervisors via radio or telephone to receive instructions and updates on assignments.
  • Adhering to all traffic regulations and laws while operating company vehicles.
  • Securing cargo properly using blocks, ropes, and other equipment to ensure safe transportation.
  • Completing accurate documentation of transported materials and products.
  • Performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of cargo as needed.
  • Collecting payment or customer signatures for delivered goods.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in handling and transporting high-value items is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, climb, and pull.
