We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Flight Nurse Director to lead our Air Medical Service team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing, delegating, and evaluating nursing care for our patients, as well as supervising and directing others to provide high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Direct, delegate, and evaluate nursing care for our patients, ensuring that it is developmental and age-specific for the population served.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise, direct, and evaluate others providing care in a manner consistent with The Nebraska Nurse Practice Act and in support of the mission of CommonSpirit Health.
- Quality and Safety: Manage quality processes and initiatives as defined by state, federal, and regulatory agencies specific to the air medical industry.
- Education and Training: Coordinate and support air medical and patient transport education to hospital personnel, EMS professionals, and the general public.
- Marketing and Public Relations: Support and help to coordinate marketing and public relations events specific to the air medical service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate a working knowledge of regulatory standards as issued by the State of Nebraska Board of EMS and the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems.
- Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within 5 years of hire date, and three years critical care/ER experience required.
- License and Certifications: Active Nebraska (or multi-state compact) Registered Nurse License, Kansas Registered Nurse License required within 3 months of hire, Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association required, and other certifications as listed in the original job description.
