Duties and Responsibilities:
The Consultant Pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing medication regimens and identifying medication issues and trends. They will ensure that medications are appropriate, effective, safe, and used correctly. This will involve performing Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR) and providing written reports to facility staff. The Consultant Pharmacist will also participate in resident assessment and care planning as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Additionally, they will assist facilities with compliance of regulatory standards, provide expertise with federal and state laws and regulations governing pharmacy services and long-term care, and coordinate or perform review of controlled substance utilization, reconciliation and documentation.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and an active Pharmacist License in Iowa and Nebraska. You must also have 1-3 years of experience in a similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position that requires regular travel to facilities. You must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and maintain verbal and written communication with others throughout your working hours.
