We are seeking a skilled CDL A Truck Driver to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to deliver exceptional customer service while safely operating trucks for customer deliveries.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated base rate for this role is between $28.40 per hour and $32.40 per hour, with opportunities for overtime compensation and a retention bonus.

Job Description

As a CDL A Truck Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Safely operating trucks for customer deliveries and meeting scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unloading products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and placing them in designated customer storage areas
  • Verifying accuracy of delivery with customers and obtaining proper signatures
  • Handling collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Providing professional customer service to enhance our client experience
  • Performing all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • A minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry
  • Ability to read and communicate in the English language and hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records
