Job Summary

Security Equipment Supply Inc is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Associate to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for handling all repair and return department processes, as well as assisting with logistical duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, maintaining high standards for customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized showroom and warehouse, adhering to company safety and appearance standards.
  • Complete training for regulatory compliance, such as Hazmat and forklift operation, as required.
  • Communicate effectively with Branch Management and Corporate Management, keeping all parties informed of outcomes, discrepancies, and potential problems.
  • Comply with reasonable management requests.
Customer Returns System (CRS)
  • Conduct detailed quality control of customer return products, verifying condition and determining appropriate action per company and vendor policies.
  • Work with vendor representatives to return product for repair, exchange, or credit, following established guidelines.
  • Prioritize and expedite work flow, coordinating with Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Branch Management on stock returns and rotations.
  • Document actions using the ERP system and other tools, adhering to CRS policy and procedure.
Logistics
  • Shipping Responsibilities:
    • Pull orders, ensuring accurate quantities and packaging for shipping.
    • Double-check orders for quality control.
    • Efficiently package product for shipping, minimizing cost and damage.
    • Enter shipping information into SES's shipping system, following established guidelines.
  • Receiving Responsibilities:
    • Receive product from various carriers, verifying correct quantities.
    • Inspect products for visible damage.
    • Enter products into the ERP system, following company guidelines.
    • Stock product in the warehouse and/or showroom, following product master list.
    • Rotate all products.
    • Follow policy guidelines for non-stock items.
  • Stocking Responsibilities:
    • Restock front showroom shelves and product displays daily, inspecting packages for appearance and cleanliness.
    • Face all products on shelves.
    • Re-arrange product on shelves to make room for new product or additional SKU's.
    • Ensure adequate labels for product, as well as bin boxes.
    • Use SES provided showroom and warehouse master inventory list to ensure proper placement of merchandise.
  • Merchandizing and General Housekeeping Responsibilities:
    • Follow guidelines for product placement, working with Operations and Marketing to ensure consistent appearance and messaging.
    • Assist in maintaining showroom appearance, including emptying trash cans daily and ensuring no hazards exist.
    • Maintain a cleanly swept warehouse floor, free of debris, and a clean and organized shipping area.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office/branch/warehouse environment. Must be proficient in the operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, packaging material machines, etc. This role also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, and standard software suite(s), such as the ERP system, an HCM system, and the Microsoft suite of products.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
  • Knowledge of low voltage products preferred
  • Possess ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Must be committed to providing exceptional service at all times
