Position Overview:

ESR Healthcare is in search of a dedicated and skilled Quality Engineer with a focus on Failure Analysis. This role is crucial for leading root cause investigations and enhancing processes for significant product development initiatives, particularly in the realm of zero-emission transit solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee issue management, track failure modes, and ensure the resolution of issues with assigned owners.
  • Lead investigations related to supplier material non-conformances.
  • Engage in various Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Manage NPI electrical assemblies and subsystems hardware.
  • Drive issue resolution from root cause analysis to implementation of countermeasures on electromechanical components.
  • Administer the Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) process and system.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering within a manufacturing context.
  • Extensive knowledge in circuit design, assembly, harnesses, and electrical testing.
  • Proficient in applying quality tools such as 8D and root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate data effectively.
  • Experience with electrical test equipment and circuit simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards and SAE J1939.

Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Primarily an indoor working environment, with occasional outdoor tasks.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk, with some kneeling or squatting.
  • Domestic travel may be required for customer visits and supplier interactions.
