Job Summary

The Material Handler is a key member of the Avery Dennison team, responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout the production site. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload and load trucks with incoming and outgoing materials, verifying against receiving and shipping documents.
  • Complete transactions to document material movement within the Inventory Management System.
  • Support inventory accuracy by conducting warehouse and departmental cycle counts, correcting discrepancies, and managing winding drum and rack inventories.
  • Pick up and transfer material racks, pallets, and consumable supplies to/from production areas as required.
  • Condense warehouse space and maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Perform all assignments, duties, and tasks in a safe manner, following standard procedures and practices.
  • Encourage others to do so and correct/report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.
  • Communicate and coordinate necessary information to ensure effective operations.
  • Lead in the recycling of pallets, cardboard, and scrap materials.
  • Support daily 5S housekeeping activities.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete transactions and document material movement.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull materials as required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
