We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN to join our team at Newport Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Job Summary:The primary role of the LVN is to provide direct nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This includes supervising and assisting with day-to-day nursing activities, adhering to federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Supervise and assist with daily nursing activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Participate in facility surveys and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review and update resident discharge plans, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as necessary, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Complete injury/incident reports and medical forms as required.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
- At least 1 year of experience in a psych facility or hospital setting.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement programs, goals, and objectives that ensure quality care.
