Aerial Applicator Job Description

At Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerial Applicator to join our team. As an Aerial Applicator, you will be responsible for providing aerial application services with our aerial application business, Diversified Applications, Inc. (DAI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe and efficient flight operations, adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct thorough site surveys to identify potential hazards and ensure safe dispensing conditions.
  • Handle and supervise the handling of loads with care to avoid spillage, aircraft damage, and product contamination.
  • Communicate effectively with ground crews and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency in aircraft systems and procedures.
  • Complete and supervise the proper completion of flight records and dispensing records.
  • Provide input to ensure compliance with 14 CFR § and applicable state regulations.
Requirements:
  • Hold an FAA commercial pilot certificate with appropriate ratings and a current class II medical certificate.
  • Have at least 200 hours of AG time and be certified to fly assigned aircraft.
  • Be currently qualified as a commercial certified pesticide applicator by the state(s) where the product will be applied.
  • Hold a California APC Pest Control Aircraft Pilot Certificate.
Working Environment:

This position requires working in an outdoor setting in various weather conditions, with exposure to outdoor elements. You may be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds and use your hands for various tasks.
