The Foothill-De Anza Community College District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Academic Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about academic services and wants to make a difference in the lives of students.
About the RoleThis position plays a critical role in the Office of Instruction, coordinating the college schedule of classes information. The successful candidate will oversee the process for entering schedule data, ensuring that classes are scheduled in accordance with Title 5 regulations and attendance accounting guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the college schedule of classes information, including scheduling deadlines and information to academic divisions and deans.
- Work extensively in Banner and interface with the college webmaster to support the online schedule of classes.
- Establish the annual scheduling calendar for the four academic terms.
- Provide technical assistance, guidance, and support to division staff and faculty on course scheduling, curriculum processes, and catalog production.
- Collaborate with Educational Technology Services (ETS) in the development of process mapping, participation in user testing, and analysis of problems encountered during testing phases.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, and District policies and procedures relevant to assigned area of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A high level of computer literacy, with experience using Banner and other software applications.
- The ability to interpret, apply, explain, and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, and District policies and procedures.
This is a full-time, permanent position, with a salary range of $71,291 - $95,594 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be required to work in a standard office setting, with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.
