Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reconstruction Crew Member to join our team at ServiceMaster Restoration by EMT 9673. As a key member of our Construction Division, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to water and fire damage restoration, including drywall repair and texture matching, painting, and installation of various trades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Job Preparation
    • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
    • Assist job site tradesmen and superintendents in commercial and residential repairs
  • Trade-Specific Tasks
    • Installation of drywall patches and texture
    • Produce all types of trades needed for water and fire damage restoration
    • Prep and paint work for finishing molding, walls, cabinets, etc.
  • Tools and Equipment
    • Preferred tools and equipment for the job
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of total experience across trades, including drywall, finish carpentry, electrical/plumbing, painting, cabinet repair/installation, flooring, rough framing, minor roofing, and waterproofing
  • Education
    • High school or equivalent (preferred)
    • Valid driver's license
Skills
  • Technical Skills
    • Proven experience as a handyman
    • Drywall repair and painting and texture matching
    • Basic flooring installation
    • Install doors, windows, cabinets, case, and base
    • Install appliances, detach, and reset
    • Troubleshoot repairs needed
    • Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment, outlets, switches, light fixtures, detach, and reset

Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
