Dietitian - Nutrition Services Specialist

The Registered Dietitian at HealthSouth is responsible for planning and implementing therapeutic diets for patients. This involves conferring with patients, doctors, nursing staff, and patient family members to ensure that dietary needs are met. The Dietitian also monitors Nutrition Services provided to patients to ensure that standards of care are met in accordance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement therapeutic diets for patients
- Confer with patients, doctors, nursing staff, and patient family members to ensure dietary needs are met
- Monitor Nutrition Services provided to patients to ensure standards of care are met
- Instruct patients in diets for home use prior to discharge and as outpatients
- Monitor past and present nutritional status and make recommendations to the healthcare team
- Act in a supervisory capacity to ensure accuracy of food production as related to modified diets
Requirements:
- Registered Dietitian degree and licensure
- Experience in Nutrition Services and patient care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
