Position Summary
The Tire Retreading Specialist plays a crucial role in the retreading process of commercial truck tires, utilizing both manual and automated techniques to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of the tire retreading operation, including inspections and evaluations of necessary repairs.
• Buff tires, apply specialized compounds, and manage the curing process.
• Conduct thorough inspections of repaired and retreaded tires to identify any defects, adhering to industry standards.
• Perform routine checks on equipment used in the retreading process, executing repairs as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the plant.
• Receive, unload, and properly store tires and related products.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Management Structure
This position operates independently while reporting to the Retread Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least one month of manufacturing or related experience.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining product quality.
• Willingness to learn new processes and techniques.
• Competence in interpreting and executing instructions in various formats.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather data and make informed decisions.
• Basic mathematical skills are required.

Work Environment
This role is situated in a manufacturing setting, where exposure to moderate noise levels, chemicals, and varying weather conditions is common. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 75 lbs, frequent standing and walking, and the safe operation of machinery.
