About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary health care to a specific patient population within the guidelines of written protocols.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat diseases, defects, or injuries and recommend or prescribe treatments for physical, mental, or functional ailments.
- Perform all charting, summaries, correspondence, and paperwork required for documenting care and billing.
- Participate in physician educational programs provided by Employer relative to capitated medicine and its implications on physician practice patterns.
- Respond to requests for proposals for managed care contracts.
- Establish quality assurance programs, utilization management programs, and develop patient education services.
- Assist in developing operational and capital budgets.
- Maintain courteous and cooperative working relationships with all levels of management, employees, physicians, patients, guarantors, and the general public.
Requirements
This is a non-management job that requires a Master's Degree in Nursing; Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent. Additionally, the successful candidate must possess certifications including South Carolina Official Recognition Nurse Practitioner - NLNP, Prescriptive Authority South Carolina Nursing License, and South Carolina Controlled Substance license; Federal DEA license.
Compensation and Benefits
