Child and Family Service is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing project-based cultural learning opportunities to engage youth and promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement culturally relevant programs and services to support the needs of at-risk youth and their families.
- Provide individual and group counseling, as well as case management services to youth and families.
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to youth development.
- Conduct assessments, service plans, and follow-up services to ensure the best possible outcomes for youth and families.
- Participate in community workdays and other events to promote cultural learning and community engagement.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided and outcomes achieved.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with at-risk youth and families.
- Strong knowledge of cultural competency and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with community partners.
- Experience working with Native Hawaiian values and cultural practices.
- Knowledge of case management practices and community resources.
- Ability to speak multiple languages, including Hawaiian and other Pacific Island languages.
