Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Director to oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure. As the Director of IT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our network systems, as well as leading a small team of skilled network professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute a Comprehensive Network Strategy: Align our network infrastructure with our business objectives, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Oversee Network Operations: Ensure the day-to-day operation of our IT network, guaranteeing optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Evaluate Emerging Technologies: Research and recommend network enhancements and upgrades to stay ahead of the curve and maintain our competitive edge.
  • Design and Implement Network Infrastructure: Plan, design, and implement LAN/WAN and wireless networks to support our growing business needs.
  • Manage the IT Network Budget: Develop and manage the IT network budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in our network operations.
  • Configure and Maintain Network Hardware and Software: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
  • Implement Network Security Measures: Design and implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Establish Vendor Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users and resolve network-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and Mentor IT Staff: Supervise and mentor our IT Support Specialist, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their role.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a leadership role overseeing IT network operations in a mid-size company with multiple locations.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and security standards, as well as experience with fully integrated MSPs.
  • Software Skills: Strong knowledge of Office 365 applications, services, and administration tools, as well as proficiency in configuring and maintaining Cisco-Meraki Network firewalls.
  • Industry Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft) are a plus.
