We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Bone Marrow Transplant team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments, as well as manage patients with radiation implants, central venous access devices, and spinal drains.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, incorporating patient-centered care principles.
- Supervise and mentor non-licensed nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, with a compact license accepted.
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting, with oncology experience highly preferred.
- ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS required within one year of hire.
