Job Overview

As a key member of the St. Joseph's Healthcare System team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all mechanical systems within the facility. This includes:

  • Operating and maintaining boilers, electric and steam chillers, cooling towers, variable frequency drives, air compressors, and related auxiliary equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Operating and maintaining emergency generators, fuel storage tanks, and associated equipment.
  • Operating and maintaining cogeneration units, condensers, waste heat boilers, pneumatic and electric controls, and related auxiliary equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to five years of previous work-related experience.
  • Blue Seal Stationary Engineers License required.
  • Blue Seal Refrigeration License preferred.
  • Confined Space Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Compliance with Qualifications to Drive a System Vehicle and all policies outlined in the SJHS Fleet Management & Safety Program.
