Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor

Indian River State College is seeking a motivated and experienced educator to join our dynamic team as an adjunct electrical apprenticeship instructor. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of the trades industry by inspiring and educating apprentices in electrical and industrial trades.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach various courses in electrical or industrial apprenticeship trades, utilizing diverse delivery methods including in-person, remote, hybrid, and online formats.
- Provide academic guidance and support to apprentices, encouraging them to excel in on-the-job training.
- Evaluate and maintain records of student progress, including attendance.
- Working knowledge and skill of industrial trade principles, methods, and techniques.
- Safety skills and the ability to use and maintain industry-related hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of computer/technical skills, including internet, word processing, and presentation software.
- Minimum of four years' experience in the electrical trade.
- Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
