WVU Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in an inpatient hospital setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the use of the nursing process. This role requires a strong commitment to providing safe and effective care to patients, as well as a willingness to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses or appropriate state board.
- Graduate nurse must obtain licensure within 60 days of hire.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients, as well as stand, walk, and carry equipment weighing 40+ pounds.
- Visual and hearing acuity within normal range.
- One year of experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Specialty certification in a relevant area, such as critical care or pediatrics.
