Southern Airways Corporation is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Aircraft Fueler to join our team. As a key member of our airport operations, you will be responsible for fueling and de-fueling aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Fuel and de-fuel aircraft in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel, following safe loading/unloading procedures.
- Verify truck is full for the subsequent shift and properly complete pass-down logs.
- Accurately account for all fuel transactions and complete daily fuel reporting forms.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and functional condition, notifying supervisors of any repair needs.
- Complete daily truck inspection sheet and ensure all fluids are topped-off and lights are functioning properly.
- Ensure wing mats, ladders, and ancillary equipment are in good working order and properly used.
- Communicate with dispatch to ensure correct product delivery on time.
- Assist with wheelchair ramp movements, passenger wheelchair pushes, and marshalling aircraft as instructed by supervisors.
- Enforce safety/security measures and protect sensitive zones.
- Provide excellent customer service to all, including co-workers and external individuals.
- Respond to changing operating conditions and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a working knowledge of airport ramp operations and communicate with corporate offices.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Valid CDL B license with Hazmat endorsement.
- Computer skills and basic math abilities.
- Strong communication skills and a great customer service attitude.
- Three to six months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work within a 24/7 operation, including holidays.
- Ability to pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- At least 18 years of age.
