Diagnostic Imaging Specialist: Cardiovascular Ultrasound
In the esteemed diagnostic imaging department of Prisma Health, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Imaging Specialist: Cardiovascular Ultrasound to join our dedicated team. As an integral member of our staff, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care through comprehensive cardiovascular ultrasound exams.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the lab manager and medical director, ensuring seamless collaboration and excellent outcomes. This role requires proficiency in operating various laboratory equipment and software packages, including ultrasound and physiological devices, EMR systems, structured reporting, and PACS solutions.
We seek an individual with a strong foundation in vascular technology, possessing certifications from reputable organizations such as ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS. Prior experience in cardiac and vascular sonography, along with a solid understanding of echocardiography and peripheral vascular studies, is essential for this position.

Accountabilities:
- Perform comprehensive cardiovascular ultrasound exams, including echocardiography and peripheral vascular studies.
- Review images and paperwork to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Rotate to multiple lab locations as scheduled and required by the IAC.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:
This is a non-management role that reports directly to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's Degree from a recognized sonography program.
- 1 year of experience in cardiac and vascular sonography performing non-invasive lab studies.
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses:
- Registered in vascular technology (ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS).
- Registered in echocardiography (ARDMS-AE and/or ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCS).
- BLS certification.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
