Peer Advisor

Join the California State University team as a Peer Advisor, providing academic support and guidance to students. This role is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on campus and develop valuable skills.

The Peer Advisor will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to provide academic support, guidance, and resources. This role is ideal for students who are passionate about education and want to make a difference in the lives of their peers.

• Meet with students individually or in group settings to provide academic support and guidance.
• Assist students with registration, academic deadlines, and Degree Progress Reports.
• Monitor student progress and provide referrals to relevant resources.
• Attend campus events and serve as a representative of the Advising and Success Center.
• Assist with New Student Orientation (NSO) and other academic events.
• Develop and implement social media and marketing materials to promote academic support services.
• Attend meetings and respond to emails/voicemails in a timely manner.

• Must be a current student at California State University.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
